Police have warned people in Nottingham, Oxford and Reading that they are more likely to be targeted. A survey by major insurance company Endsleigh conducted over four years reveals that Nottingham is the worst place to live for burglary crime.

The insurance company discovered that Nottingham is the most likely place an insurance claim is made against theft for the second year running. Leeds and Hull were not much further behind. Nottingham has also been dubbed the gun capital of the UK after a series of gun related crimes in the town. As well as an increased risk of gun crime, Nottingham residents are 88% more likely to be burgled then the national average.
